Thalia Mavros is an award-winning producer, filmmaker and entrepreneur who founded indie, full-service production company The FRONT in 2016 as a creative hub for documentary television and film content focused on bringing under-represented people, stories and perspectives to the forefront.

Touting an array of premium streaming and linear series, as well as feature films,The Front celebrates human connection through compelling storytelling, amplified by cinematic visuals and access to extraordinary people and worlds that fosters a collective sense of wonder for viewers.

Latest projects include Netflix’s groundbreaking sex ed series Principles of Pleasure, Keep This Between Us, a series exposing an epidemic of widespread grooming in U.S. high schools on Hulu/Freeform, Consensus Gentium, the 2023 SXSW XR Experience Winner, and A La Folie, a biopic on big-wave surfer Justine Dupont. She has served on juries for the Webby Awards, Anthem Awards, Realscreen Awards and has taught at Johns Hopkins University Masters in Film program.

Prior to founding The FRONT, Thalia served as the first executive creative director of the media company Vice, launching some of its most innovative verticals. She served as a director on series featuring musician Pharrell Williams, and actor, producer and writer Johnny Knoxville, and led The Creators Project, Vice’s joint venture with Intel, spotlighting breakthrough artists’ use of technology to further creative expression. In addition to teaching in the masters film program at Johns Hopkins, Mavros has also conducted numerous high-profile interviews, including with renowned feature film directors Errol Morris, Werner Herzog, and Harmony Korine.

Originally from Athens, Greece, Thalia is passionate and curious about the natural world, the power of psychedelics for trauma, and loves climbing and shark diving.
